About the role
Our central recruitment function within professional services is looking for a Senior Recruiter to join the team in helping UCL attract the talent it needs to deliver on its world leading teaching and research agenda.
As a Senior Recruiter, you’ll manage multiple end-to-end recruitment campaigns in line with our recruitment service catalogue ensuring an efficient, cost effective and compliant recruitment process. You’ll use a variety of recruitment tools to deliver diverse applicants pools and proactively generate applications through several search methodologies focusing on delivering an exceptional hiring manager and candidate experience whilst promoting UCL as an employer of choice.
Your responsibilities will involve but are not limited to:
1. Support hiring managers and candidates through the recruitment process from initial brief through to new hires start dates
2. Use innovative sourcing methods such as headhunting and x-ray search to proactively attract high quality applicants and limit reactive advertising response
3. Provide a high value candidate and hiring manager experience focusing on reducing time to hire and cost per hire amongst other KPIs
4. Provide regular/ad-hoc reporting to hiring managers on vacancy progress utilising reports from the ATS
5. Ensure recruitment is conducted in line with compliance requirements and policies ( right to work compliance, redeployment policies, financial approvals etc)
6. Advocate and drive UCL’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion agenda across recruitment activities (including assessing and actioning reasonable adjustments).
Please note, we operate a hybrid working model with our team based in the London Kings Cross/St. Pancras office and are based onsite 2-days a week (Mon/Tues).

About you
As a Talent Acquisition professional, you have experience in the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle and have previously worked in-house for either an internal recruitment function within a complex “matrix” organisation or via an RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcer). You enjoy sourcing and attracting talent using proactive Boolean search methodologies and have utilised a variety of routes to market such as LinkedIn, X-Ray search, job boards etc. Additionally, you’re able to build credibility and develop positive working relationships with stakeholders as well as negotiate with and influence hiring managers to achieve positive recruitment outcomes.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

8. Resilience and adaptability in a high-volume and multi-discipline environment
9. Excellent time management and organisation skills.
Although not essential, it would be advantageous to have experience recruiting niche roles within as well as experience working within a higher education environment.
