We have an exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic and creative full-time Environment & Sustainability Program Coordinator, based in Bristol, UK, (reporting to the Senior Director of Environment & Sustainability based in the USA) and working with Marketing team colleagues in our Bristol office. Applicants should be able to work from our Bristol (UK) office for two set days per week, and there is the opportunity for hybrid-remote working for the remainder of the week. About the role The Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in advancing PADI’s mission to create a sustainable future for the dive industry and ocean conservation. This position will focus on developing and supporting environment and sustainability programs that create tangible value for PADI members and dive operators worldwide. The Program Coordinator will act as a key support for PADI Eco Centers, Adaptive Services Facilities, and various partnerships, to drive member engagement, retention, and sustainable growth. Key responsibilities include: Program Development and Member Engagement: Supporting the expansion of the PADI mission by executing and driving forward our sustainability initiatives, creating resources and guidance for dive operators globally, enhancing the value of PADI membership. Collaborating with the PADI Membership team to integrate sustainability messaging into campaigns that bolster member retention and attract new members, aligning with PADI’s mission. Helping to devise innovative strategies and ideas to engage PADI operators in environmental and sustainability programs, encouraging them to become active participants in conservation efforts. PADI Eco Centers and Partnership Support: Providing strategic and operational support to PADI Eco Centers, ensuring strong relationships with key partners like Reef-World to align initiatives, foster retention, and drive sustainable growth. Maintaining and tracking Eco Center program metrics, compiling monthly updates and producing quarterly reports to evaluate program impact and member engagement. Supporting dive operators with tools, resources, and guidance on their sustainability journey, incorporating Green Fins Membership as a key component. Helping to onboard more PADI members to reduce their environmental footprint, contributing to a collective reduction across the dive industry. Adaptive Services Program Support: Assisting the Global Adaptive Coordinator in growing the Adaptive Services program and promoting adaptive techniques certifications globally. Maintaining the Adaptive Services Facilities database, tracking monthly reports on total adaptive facilities and certifications. Communications and Content Development: In coordination with the Planning and Communications Executive, executing comprehensive member communication strategies, including print and digital media, social media, and public relations, to promote environmental and sustainability initiatives. Supporting content creation for sustainability programs, collaborating with contractors on member-specific content needs, including quarterly update videos, webinars, and field service updates. Assisting with crafting messaging for member renewals, integrating the PADI mission to enhance value and engagement. Torchbearer Community Growth: Developing new pathways for dive operators and PADI professionals to join and grow the PADI Torchbearer community, inspiring participation in conservation activities and furthering PADI’s mission. Collaboration and Cross-functional Support: Working closely with the PADI Club team to align on environment and sustainability needs and ensure consistent messaging across PADI’s community and events. Collaborating with internal teams, such as the PADI AWARE Foundation and the Membership, Marketing, and Field Services teams, to integrate the PADI mission into all relevant member activities and communications. Qualifications, skills and experience A Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, ideally within sustainability or environmental programs. Familiarity with environmental conservation, diving, or tourism industries is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects and reporting metrics. Excellent communication skills, with experience creating content for diverse media formats, including social media, print, and digital channels. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and flexibility to work across time zones as appropriate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel for tracking and reporting. Experience with database management and creating impact reports. Passion for environmental conservation, sustainability, and the mission of PADI. Prior experience in supporting large member-based organizations and developing member engagement strategies.
