I am once again partnering with this retail giant who have a Senior People Business Partner role for their Group Function team.
This role comes with a great salary and benefits package and is 3 days a week on site at Welwyn Garden City – 2 days WFH.
The candidate for this role will have a background of working with senior stakeholders for large and complex organisations.
The purpose of the role:
1. Provide strategic people thought leadership & Group alignment on all people matters at a functional level including transformations, organisational effectiveness, performance & talent.
2. Cultural, diversity, equality & inclusion ambassador, adopting best practice, exploring alternative solutions, role modelling & coaching leaders to bring this to life, positively delivering a diverse culture & workforce for the future.
3. Creating innovative & effective WL4+ talent pools with reliable-live succession plans for the function, working across the Group to unlock & provide interesting career paths for future leaders.
4. Considering calculated risks & opportunities to develop talent, provide stretch & unlocking career progression for Directors & Business Leaders.
5. Understand the different levers to pull on to close critical capability gaps, grow skills & develop the skills/workforce plan required for the future within the function.
6. Foster a culture centred around our values & leadership behaviours, prioritising & coaching colleague engagement & performance metrics that resonate with functional & strategic objectives.
7. Champion well-being, providing regular feedback to the leadership team and wider people team on its effectiveness & future opportunities.
8. Understand functional DEI make-up & needs, ensuring bespoke solutions are implemented to promote DEI, with this ingrained into leadership thinking on all people matters.
9. Share successes, challenges & opportunities with People Strategy & People Leadership team, to ensure functional needs are balanced with Group wide priorities.
10. Leveraging people data analytics to inform strategic decision making & improve organisational performance, using data to provide data-based insight through story telling.
11. Using your coaching skills to build the capability of Executives & Business Leaders to anticipate & pre-empt organisational opportunities & challenges.
12. Working with leadership teams to drive colleague engagement, retention & inclusion.
13. Build people plans for function(s) to drive the achievement functional goals & objectives, ensuring that all planned people team activity is incorporated in the plan.
14. Proactively collaborate with all Practices of Expertise (POE) to shape & align activity, sharing your knowledge of your functional strategy, priorities, needs & opportunities.
15. Proactively collaborate with the Practices of Expertise (POE) in Organisation Design & Strategic Workforce Planning to shape functional strategy, priorities & opportunities.
16. Work closely with Organisational Design & Strategic Workforce Planning to design, deliver & implement OD, SWP & skills plans that ensures accountability is clear, roles & responsibilities are well defined, future skills are defined with work & resource in the right place at the right cost.
