About the Role
Protocol Education is seeking compassionate and dedicated SEN Support Staff to join a friendly, inclusive school in Newcastle. This role is perfect for someone with a genuine passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
* Assist the classroom teacher in creating a positive, inclusive environment that meets each student's unique needs.
* Support students with personal, social, and emotional development, encouraging positive behavior and social interactions.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to implement individual learning plans and support strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school or similar setting.
* Strong understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students and a commitment to providing patient, empathetic support.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for making a difference.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
