Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest standards. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
2. Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food products.
3. Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
5. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
6. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
7. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment is preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
3. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
5. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
6. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are an advantage but not essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
