The Role
HR Assistant (12 Month FTC).
Salary: £26,000 to £28,000
This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

This fixed term contract HR Assistant role offers a fantastic opportunity for progression, as you will have exposure to a wide range of HR responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, and HR administration.
You will have the support of a wider HR team at Head Office while working on a standalone basis on site. You should have previous HR experience and have achieved or be working towards CIPD Level 3.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in managing, conducting, and supporting a number of employee relations issues, such as disciplinary, grievances, and performance management.
2. Collaborate with managers regarding recruitment and onboarding.
3. Assist in identifying training needs and support the development and delivery of training initiatives.
4. Assist in HR reporting for monthly HR metrics and reports.
5. Support the coordination and implementation of new processes.
6. Attend regular HR meetings and keep up to date with current legislation and HR-related issues throughout the group.
7. Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfaction.
8. Maintain accurate employee files, including attendance, timekeeping, and holiday records, ensuring compliance with Data Protection, Immigration, and Asylum legislation, and keep the HR database up to date at all times.
9. Raise and monitor payroll/employee documentation, Right to Work, Driving Licence Checks, DBS checks, P45, Bank details, medical notes, maternity and paternity leave, and leaver information.
10. Prepare all necessary documentation required for new starters and complete administrative tasks for the complete employee life cycle.
11. Proactively notify Line Managers of adverse levels of absenteeism/lateness.
12. Attend and accurately minute HR meetings, including but not limited to investigations and disciplinary or grievance hearings, as required.
13. Ensure and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all HR issues.
Requirements
1. CIPD Qualified or working towards Level 3.
2. Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and manage own workload.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in HR, Time and Attendance Systems, and MS Office 365.
Location and Salary
Based in Dudley.
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000.
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
