The Data Centre - Hardware Technology Lead and Data Analyst is a key position in the delivery of Data Centre Infrastructure Support Services to ONNEC Clients.
Reporting to the account Service Delivery Director, the Data Centre - Hardware Technology Lead and Data Analyst will be site based and be responsible for supporting the engineering teams during planning, design, development, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes at multiple client Data Centres.
The Data Centre - Hardware Technology Lead and Data Analyst is responsible for the quality controls of the day-to-day activities for all Campus sites.
Working with the Customer Site and Technology Leads to improve the operational systems, processes, and procedures in support of enhanced service deliverables and management reporting.
Responsibilities:
* Support engineering teams during planning, design, development, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Ensure quality controls for daily activities at Campus sites.
* Collaborate with Customer Site and Technology Leads to improve operational systems.
* Visit sites through EMEA, US, and APAC as required.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in Data Centre Hardware IMACD.
* Experience in Database and software programming languages such as Python.
* Experience in Data Analytics and reporting.
* Previous experience in Programme & Project Management.
* Experience working in a banking IT environment.
* Experience in a Data Centre Moves Adds and Changes environment (IT Hardware deployment).
* Advanced experience in structured cabling installation, fault finding, and testing with fluke test equipment.
* Thorough knowledge of structured cabling standards and cable types (FTP, UTP & Optical Fibre).
* Self-starter, organized, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong prioritization skills and multitasking ability.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Expert knowledge of Asset Management Systems.
* Expert knowledge of Ticketing Systems.
* Expert understanding of complex change management and service delivery processes.
* Ability to mentor and train new starters on all systems, processes, and procedures.
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Advanced knowledge of performance metrics and reporting, technical problem resolution, and risk management.
* Experience gathering and analyzing data to effect meaningful change.
* Expertise in core technologies related to Data Centres.
* Experience supporting enterprise-class hardware deployments.
* Strong Technical knowledge of physical infrastructure (compute, network, storage).
* Understanding of network concepts (switching, routing, perimeter security).
* Experience in service delivery in a large-scale and diverse environment.
* Experience managing third parties and third-party delivered services.
Preferred but not Essential:
* Previous training/qualifications within the Information Technology field.
* Information Technology Infrastructure Library – Foundation & Expert (ITIL).
