This fantastic and established Residential Children’s home is currently seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to join them in their Ilkeston based home I am working with a fantastic provider of Residential Childcare. This is the 3rd home for this company and their proven record of successfully creating homely & comforting environments have allowed the children and young people in their care to express their characters & establish their independence. Ofsted awarded this home an 'Outstanding' in the last inspection as they recognised the incredible outcomes and work the staff and this home have achieved This 3x bedded home specialises in Autism & Learning Disabilities. Currently there are 2x young people in placement: ⚫ One is 16 and really into music and arts & crafts, she is partially sighted ⚫ The other young person is an 18 year old Autistic male - high functioning, who loves gaming and will be shortly be transitioning into independence after spending 4x years in this home The staff team is very settled and work well together. The Registered Manager has been in post for 3 years and the Deputy Manager for the last 18x months. Additionally all the other Seniors have been home-grown within the company. Progression routes are hugely important to this company. This position is perfect for someone who is looking to make a real & meaningful difference in the lives of children & young people. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be a crucial part of the team, helping young people to develop their life skills and reach their personal goals. You will be responsible for organizing and accompanying the young people on social activities and appointments, building strong relationships with them, whilst also recording their activity and reporting key aspects of their care.
