Job Opportunity: Year 1 Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are a welcoming and inclusive primary school committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join us from January 2025 to cover maternity leave.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide a class of enthusiastic Year 1 students, supporting their academic and personal growth in a pivotal stage of their learning journey. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and closely monitoring each child's progress to provide personalized feedback to students and their families.
Our ideal candidate holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience working in a primary school setting, ideally with Key Stage 1 students. You should bring a solid understanding of early years development, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, flexible approach to adapting to the needs of young learners. We value excellent communication and collaboration skills, as this role involves working closely with other teachers and support staff to ensure that each child’s individual needs are met.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
