Are you a detail-oriented and research-driven fundraiser looking to make an impact? We’re recruiting a Philanthropy Officer to play a key role in identifying and managing fundraising prospects to support Shaftesbury’s major donor, trusts and foundations, corporate, and community fundraising programmes.
We’re looking for people with the passion, talent, skills and experience that all add up to a caring and community-minded workforce.
We believe that the people we support have the right to a full and flourishing life. They deserve the very best in delivery. Driven by our core values, Shaftesbury strives to be Open, Enabling, Inclusive and Courageous in all that we do.
Our disability services across adult care, children’s care and education are all focused on inclusion and support. Committed to professional, flexible and personalised care, we are passionate about going the extra mile in providing opportunities for people to thrive and live well.
About The Role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining a strong prospect pipeline, ensuring fundraisers have high-quality leads to engage. You’ll conduct detailed research on potential funders, track donor insights using Raiser’s Edge, and support bid writing for lower-value funding applications. Your work will help drive new opportunities and strengthen existing donor relationships.
We’re looking for someone with experience in prospect research, fundraising, or donor stewardship. You should have excellent analytical and research skills, a strong understanding of fundraising intelligence tools, and the ability to write clear and compelling funding applications. A proactive approach, attention to detail, and passion for fundraising will be essential in this role.
If you’re motivated by supporting high-value fundraising efforts and want to contribute to an organisation making a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
