Job Title: Master Data Specialist
Location: Dalston, Cumbria
Working days/hours: 37.5 hours per week on site (Dalston Factory)
Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25-day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!
Position Summary
We are currently recruiting for an individual to join our Factory Finance Team for the role of Master Data Specialist. This role will be supporting the existing Master Data Manager when required to create, modify, cleanse production master data, ensuring all information is accurate and processed within the timescales.
A day in the life of a Master Data Specialist
Reporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities will include close working with the existing Master Data Manager to provide support in their daily job that includes:
* Material creation and modification; process change requests as required which could include change/addition to BOM, recipe amendments etc.
* Updating key elements of master data for respective HALB and FERT materials: scrap factors, efficiency rate, crewing, energy requirement.
* Cleansing of master data and performing regular health checks.
* Work with Supply team & CTAG to update all master data on BOMs, Recipes and create new PVs.
* Actively validate/challenge line standards with Area Managers and the wider Factory, Supply Chain and Operational Decision Support building trust and reliability of information.
* Be a custodian, ensuring compliance across all things related to Master Data and Globe processes.
* Do ad hoc tests for information in product master data to actual performance using DMO.
What will make you successful
To be successful for this role you will have a good understanding of the manufacturing conversion process and related workflow of various inputs and resources like raw/pack material, energy, labour, and other costs. You’ll have strong numeracy skills, an excellent eye for detail, and great observation and analytical skills that enable you to notice inconsistencies in product master data and real life. The ability to be flexible and work under time pressure in a quick changing environment is crucial; you’ll be results focused, and curious in everything you do.
