We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Operative / Pharmaceutical Operator Specialist who either has relevant production or plant operation experience or a qualification in Chemistry or related discipline.

As a Production Operative / Pharmaceutical Operator Specialist you will have the opportunity to use a variety of equipment, running multiple chemical syntheses on Plant, many of which haven’t been done at scale before.
DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as a Production Operative / Pharmaceutical Operator Specialist will include:
1. Operate the pilot plant reactors and ancillary equipment following all current procedures (IOPs, BPGs, etc.) to maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, hygiene and quality
2. Ensure written instruction/directions are followed correctly
3. Notify your supervisor or Manager immediately of any irregularities so that corrective actions can be planned and implemented
4. Promptly and accurately complete documents as directed and record all irregularities
5. Support environmental monitoring and report/record information
6. Carry out routine maintenance and re-configuration of reaction vessels and ancillary equipment to ensure production is carried out in a timely and safe manner, complying with Health and Safety obligations
7. Participate fully and diligently in all training schemes
8. Participate fully and diligently in project schemes to support continuous improvement in working practices
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As the Production Operative / Pharmaceutical Operator Specialist you will have the following skills and experience:
9. Qualification in Chemistry, or other related discipline, advantageous
10. Awareness of cGMP, regulatory aspects and pharmaceutical regulations desirable
11. Good planning and organizational skills
12. Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation
13. Able to interact effectively and positively with internal customers
14. Able to work on your own and as part of a team
15. Good time management and prioritization capabilities
16. Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
17. Flexible and adaptable with an open-minded view and creative problem-solving skills
18. Strong sense of accountability for the outcome
19. Contribute to shift handovers
20. Liaise between production management, chemists and other departments
21. IT literate with strong Microsoft Office skills
