Job Description:
The Senior Support and Integration Engineer is responsible for identifying and resolving electrical systems issues throughout the development lifecycle, from rigs and labcars to in-market vehicles. This includes fault analysis, software flashing, issue management, and verification of solutions. The engineer acts as the first point of contact for electrical issues and generates test reports for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and escalate complex electrical issues during all development stages.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and partners for issue resolution.
* Analyze vehicle faults using diagnostic tools and schematics.
* Manage fault reports via cloud-based systems, ensuring quality and clarity.
* Support build, maintenance, and testing of vehicles and rigs.
* Plan and support verification, validation, and certification activities.
* Provide technical support to workshop and development teams.
* Assist with software validation and documentation.
* Contribute to process improvements.
* Mentor junior team members.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Extensive experience in automotive electrical systems, preferably in OEM or Tier 1 environments.
* Strong understanding of electrical system features, functions, and fault analysis.
* Knowledge of vehicle networks (CAN, LIN) and analysis tools.
* Practical experience with diagnostic tools and measurement instruments.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and organize team efforts.
* Flexible, enthusiastic, and good communicator.
* Willingness to work under pressure, travel, and adapt to locations.
* Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
* Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
