Job Description:
We are pleased to offer this band 6 opportunity and are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic mental health practitioner who has an interest in working with people with a diagnosis of personality disorder in a creative, flexible and co-produced way. You will be working both online and in person with individuals who access the service. This service is based at New Craigs Hospital and working hours are Monday to Friday 9-5pm.
The post holder will assist with the facilitation of the Award Winning Supporting Self-management Service (SSMS) Intensive Group programme as well as direct involvement with all aspects of the personality disorder service (PDS) including structured assessments, formulations and treatment planning, supervision and delivering training packages. The post holder will have the opportunity to be trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and have direct involvement in the provision of the DBT service. The post holder will also assist in the facilitation of the Award Winning Coping and Succeeding Day Service which operates on a Friday, alongside Specialist Practitioners working with People with a Personality Disorder.
Both the SSMS and the Personality Disorder Service aim to support individuals to build a life worth living through development of self-management skills. The post holder will be actively involved in the planning, set-up and delivery of specific interventions related to increasing an individual's ability to self-manage.
The post holder will also be expected to take an active role in delivering Decider Skills in a group setting and supporting individuals to complete electronic and paper-based outcome measures.
The post holder will also assist in the supervision of day service volunteers.
