What Will Be Your Environment:
The Hazelwood site is in rural Derbyshire. We are a state-of-the-art Research and Development site with approximately 350 employees.
What You'll Do:
As an Indirect Sourcing Associate, you'll be responsible for representing Lubrizol to supply base and facilitating the procurement of indirect goods and service supporting UK and European facilities. The Indirect Sourcing Associate will have accountability to support the procurement of a broad range of equipment, supplies, and services in support of organisation objectives and facility operations. In addition, the Indirect Sourcing Associate will be responsible for ensuring that relationships between the company and vendors are maintained in a manner consistent with corporate policies, procedures, and quality standards. Perform assignments related to the procurement of goods and services including but not limited to negotiation and implementation of regional and national agreements, purchase of capital equipment, and contracting services required by Lubrizol’s facilities. The Indirect Sourcing Associate shall work within the framework of the projects with multiple disciplinary teams (maintenance, project engineering, IT, legal, finance, etc.) to deliver an optimised solution from the total cost of ownership (TCO) and reduce operational risks.
What We're Looking For:
1. Lead and manage vendors and contractors to ensure Lubrizol’s deliverables are met.
2. Category & sub category management.
3. Use RFIs (request for information) and RFQs (request for quotations) / RFPs (request for proposals) to identify best supply source.
4. Ensure current commercial contracts and Alliance Agreements are being followed.
5. Locate and assist with qualifying supply sources.
6. Act professionally in all work activities in a legal and ethical manner in compliance with applicable laws and support compliance of all corporate policies and regional/local Health, Safety, Environmental and Security practices.
7. Negotiate restocking fees, freight terms, payment terms and all areas that enhance value.
8. Ensure contracts are being followed and continually improve price, quality, and service.
9. Work with requisitioners to ensure PO’s are clear and accurately reflect internal needs
10. Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, reductions, rebates.
11. Ensure master data is accurate to allow efficient order processing and payment.
12. Assist buying staff to implement contracts and fully leverage Lubrizol's spend.
13. Perform GR/IR reconciliation in order to solve issues including blocking invoices.
14. Build strong relationships with vendors.
15. Build strong internal customer relationships.
16. Train and educate others about purchasing process.
Skills That Make a Difference:
17. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, business administration, logistics, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or other technical degree
18. Recent and Relevant indirect procurement experience.
19. Able to relate well with individuals at various levels, inside and outside of the organization.
20. Demonstrated analytical and organisational skills.
21. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
22. Understanding of sourcing/purchasing methods and negotiation skills
23. Involvement in external professional groups
24. Proficient with SAP and Ariba.
