Job title: Principal Software Integration Engineer
Location: New Malden. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £60,000 (depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
* Carry out the technical aspects of SI Infrastructure Integration activities through the application of engineering processes and be involved with the hands-on SI integration and build processes.
* Managing defects and ensuring progression to fix/closure.
* Ability to lead and develop more junior team members.
* Managing system configurations, reviewing and approving updates from other team members.
* Assist in development of in-house tools to support integration activities.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* An experienced systems engineer, preferably with a strong software engineering background. You’ll have experience with many of the following:
* Integration and delivery of complex systems.
* Software development and integration experience.
* System experience – COTS hardware technology, Windows, VMWare.
Desirable:
* Experience within a Naval Combat Systems Development Environment across multiple lifecycle phases.
Applicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline. Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold another equivalent professional registration with a relevant institution.

The Shared Infrastructure (SI) Integration team:
As a Software Integration Engineer, you will be a Shared Infrastructure (SI) Integration Engineer carrying out day-to-day hands-on activities on the target system and leading a small team within the wider SI Integration Team. To undertake a defined range of SI related, systems engineering activities in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements under the direction of the SI Work Package Manager and Integration Team Technical Specialist.
