Employment Lawyer - Bristol - 12 months FTC Excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a leading national law firm in Bristol for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave. The firm are seeking an experienced Solicitor/FCILEx to join their successful Employment team, part of the Civil Litigation Division. Your caseload would include complex and high value Respondent and Claimant Employment Tribunal matters across the full range of work types including discrimination and TUPE. The work sources include LEI and private instruction. There will also be some non-contentious HR support and advice work required. Duties/Responsibilities: Advising clients on Employment Tribunal claims; Running a case load of Employment Tribunal claims, including drafting pleadings, drafting witness statements, negotiating settlements and advising on settlement agreements, and instructing counsel or advocates as necessary Complying with insurer service level agreements Supporting the employment team with non-contentious work, including provision of contractual documentation, handbooks and other employment documentation, together with provision of reactive and proactive employment advice to commercial clients, including telephone advice Participating in marketing initiatives, including writing updates on employment law and providing training sessions to clients Ensuring accurate advice is given to clients You will have excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to manage a caseload of up to 40 varied, complex and high value cases. This role can be on a full time or part-time basis and offers a combination of remote and office working (typically 2 days in the office).
