Technology Transfer Manager
Based in Belfast - with up to 40% international travel

Our Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for 2 new Technology Transfer Managers to join Thales Integrated Airspace-protection Systems (IAS) who are working on Weapons Systems for Air Defence and Surface attack capabilities for UK and Export Customers.
You will be responsible for the transfer of production, maintenance, and associated technology and knowledge for specific work packages within an international programme. These programmes are critical to business winning and project delivery.
You will be working within the IAS UK Business to represent the Industrial needs of these critical programmes within Thales Regional Companies, supporting the development and delivery of local solutions through Key Industrial Partners (KIP) and supply chain technology transfer work packages. This will include optimising supply chain delivery and product manufacturability by applying and promoting effective co-development and co-manufacture with key industrial partners.
You will have a high level of expertise and knowledge of current Industrial/Supply Chain best practices and Business operations and will propose and manage the implementation of repeatable and predictable operational industrial/supply chain solutions (End to end supply chain planning).
The Industrial/supply chain scenarios will cover all aspects of the product life cycle and will include Transfer of production and Transfer of Knowledge and Transfer of Support into the local industry as part of Thales Globalisation policy implementation.
This is a very customer-facing role where you will be working closely with our customers, partners, and sub-contractors and will require significant travel overseas, approx 40% of your time depending on the projects you are supporting which will be across Mainland Europe, South East Asia, or the Middle East.

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years' residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
About You:
You will have operational management skills within industrial operations (including development and/or support) together with experience of requirements of Technology Transfer and international collaboration within multi-cultural international programmes together with the following:
* Knowledge of commercial frameworks and documents (e.g., SOW, NDA, export control, etc.).
* Proven delivery of establishing a new industrial competency (across the entire product lifecycle) in an international collaboration.
* Organisation design and implementation (production lines and associated tasks).
* Significant experience working with customers and suppliers globally on large-scale projects.
* Expert knowledge in Industrial techniques and solutions and Wide Supply Chain capability knowledge.
* Working knowledge of recurring cost and non-recurring cost to perform both estimating and to challenge/optimise cost budgets.
* Experience with cross-culture collaboration.
* Be highly organised and able to work with a degree of autonomy.
* Experience of configuration management and implementation of change and development Operation skills in KIP.
