Location: Office Base is London. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

Main Responsibilities
As an Automation and Analytics Team Lead, you will:
1. Work independently and be self-motivated, providing technical and architectural leadership to a team of Automation Infrastructure Engineers, Developers, and Analysts.
2. Automate the provisioning, deployment, scaling, and monitoring of the on-prem BBC IaaS virtualisation platform.
3. Develop libraries and scripts to automate manual tasks and technical operations.
4. Create analytics dashboards, monitors, and reports.
5. Collaborate with various teams to brainstorm automation use cases.
6. Produce and maintain the Automation Service framework and tools.
7. Continuously improve existing automation capabilities.
8. Communicate with users of automation tools to understand their needs and maintain a backlog of solutions.
9. Perform retrospectives to improve delivery solutions.
10. Assist the IaaS Infrastructure team with Infrastructure as Code implementations.
11. Design and develop automation processes and tools in various programming languages.
12. Lead in the maintenance and creation of Automation and Analytics Team documentation.
13. Work closely with infrastructure, operations, and development teams to resolve any arising problems.
Are you the right candidate?
You will be an experienced team lead within technical operations or systems engineering with demonstrable experience in producing solutions for Automation, Analytics, Reporting, Development, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and DevOps.

* VM’s - Systems Administration, Security, Deployment, Management and Patching on RHEL / Ubuntu / CentOS.
* Containers - RHEL OpenShift / Docker / Kubernetes Implementation.
* Infrastructure - VMware ESXI / vCenter / NSX, Nutanix.
* Automation – Ansible / AAP / AWX Development.
* Development - Python, PowerShell, Yaml, Java, etc.
* CI/CD and IoC - Terraform, Packer, Jenkins, Git.
* Analytics - VMware Aria vRealise Operations, Grafana, Tableau.
