Job Summary
Over the past few years the SCW Innovation team has been developing and refining its Data Architecture and Business Intelligence Review framework and assessment. This has resulted in the development of a new service offering from SCW which is designed to enable the NHS and its partners to understand the infrastructure and architecture of its systems and identify the target architecture needed to deliver greater collaboration, efficiencies, and enhanced business intelligence functions.
The development of this new service has drawn inspiration from the Innovation team's years of experience of delivering business intelligence services and solutions across NHS and private organisations. The framework has been built from industry best practice, collaboration with health care professionals from multiple organisations across a number of ICS regions, and professionalisation of SCW staff through formal Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS certifications. The Data Architecture and Business Intelligence Review framework and assessments provide NHS organisations with access to skilled and experienced subject matter experts across a range of business intelligence domains. To meet the growing demand for this service SCW is seeking a visualisation and analytical lead to own these areas of the assessment and create a high value assessment capability to provide insight to organisations on how they should structure and deliver their reporting teams and functions.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead on the creation of assessment frameworks and approaches for visual solutions and analytical delivery within internal and external organisations.
2. Deliver critical assessments of organisation capabilities to senior stakeholders in the form of written report assessments, presentations and onsite workshops.
3. Responsible for the design, creation and maintenance of data visualisation solutions spanning all innovation programmes.
4. Investigate and challenge existing methods of working with internal and external teams.
5. Subject matter expert on descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics and development of strategies to enable organisations to develop these capabilities.
6. Identify unmet need and proposals for service design within business intelligence operations.
7. Subject matter expert on Microsoft Power BI.
