About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee operations on a critical infrastructure site. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or electrical background, along with extensive experience working with pressure systems. This role is crucial in ensuring site safety, compliance, and operational efficiency while managing a team of engineers and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all site activities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
* Supervise the installation, maintenance, and operation of mechanical/electrical systems, including pressure systems.
* Manage site personnel, including engineers, contractors, and support staff.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
* Coordinate with project stakeholders, clients, and senior management to ensure project goals are met.
* Monitor and report on project progress, budget, and resource allocation.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
* Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance reports.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager within a critical infrastructure environment (e.g., energy, water, utilities, transportation, or similar).
* Strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
* Extensive experience working with pressure systems, including testing, maintenance, and compliance.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Strong understanding of HSE policies and procedures.
* Relevant qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related discipline.
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification preferred.
* Full UK driving license (or equivalent).
