Job Title: Head of Radar Joint Programme Office
Location: Various, although time would be required at Warton and/or Edinburgh.

Salary: £74,100 + depending on experience plus executive benefits
What you'll be doing:
* You will manage external risks and opportunities and provide oversight of key internal risks within BAE.
* Manage tri-party (BAE Systems, Leonardo, UK MoD) dependencies including GfX requirements.
* You will have oversight of the IMS with a focus on handovers between organisations, longer term view & 'key anchor points'.
* Manage effective coordination of Integrated Test Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA) activity and ITEA information sharing.
* You will facilitate timely decision making and resolution of key issues and blockers.
* You will manage the Mk2 Phase 1 Contract Maturity.
* And you will provide guidance, and oversight, to ensure overall programme success.
Your skills and experiences:
* Informed and experienced based understanding of project management processes and sound knowledge and experience of procurement/supplier management, finance and commercial practices.
* Proven experience in a senior position of influence, with an understanding of all parts of the business lifecycle from business winning and bid work, through development and production, to in-service support and disposal.
* Experienced in all aspects of project controls, delivery and governance and its application to development, production or through life support programmes.
* Demonstrable experience of managing multiple stakeholders in a collaborative way, with an ability to communicate complex topics effectively and succinctly to influence the right outcome.
* Experience of working with an aerospace and/or defence company with demonstrable industry knowledge would be desirable.
* Knowledge of the UK military environment, processes and organisations would also be desirable.

The Radar Joint Project team:
The Head of the Radar Joint Project Office role will lead the interface with the UK customer and Radar supplier (Leonardo). The role will lead on the activities to agree, in collaboration with the UK MoD, the programme for the next generation European Common Radar System (ECRS) Mk2 Radar. The Mk2 radar is fundamental to future Typhoon capability and the role it plays in the UK defence.
