The Vacancy
What is the role
Demonstrating experience within search engine marketing, and as part of the SEO team, the focus of this role will be to grow organic traffic and revenue. You will be responsible for executing both on-site and off-site optimisation strategies and reporting the results back to the team and wider business.
What you will do
1. Grow organic traffic and revenue in line with forecasts and objectives
2. Analyse and improve on-site and off-site SEO performance
3. Carry out regular competitor keyword gap analysis and research to find new opportunity to drive organic strategy
4. Perform regular keyword research in line with business objectives, season, and trends
5. Day-to-day optimisation of categories, sub-categories and campaigns in line with seasonality and key customer trends
6. Blog writing with regular reporting on performance, aligning with trade teams and growing organic traffic
7. Conduct regular technical site audits to monitor crawl errors, page speed, core web vitals, redirects and overall site structure
8. Work closely with the dev team to raise site errors and opportunities ensuring best practice is followed
9. Regular maintenance and fixing of Google Search Console errors
10. Ensure Schema mark-up is regularly looked at and updated in line with best practice
11. Regular XML sitemap audits and optimisations to ensure best practice
12. Ensure the Robots.txt file is maintained across all sites
13. Work with the wider marketing team on link building projects to ensure we secure high quality backlinks
14. Stay ahead of search industry news, insights, and Google algorithm updates

23. Proven SEO experience required – either in-house or agency side
24. Knowledge of SEO best practice to ensure search rankings
25. Ability to confidently report on key performance metrics to managers
26. Ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects
27. Confident using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush and other SEO tools
28. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS and Java Script and how they affect SEO
29. Experience copywriting
30. Experience with eCommerce sites
31. PPC knowledge desirable
32. Retail or Fashion experience desirable
