Senior Administrator - Personal InsolvencyThe OrganisationQuantuma is an independent advisory firm serving the needs of mid-market and corporate companies, as well as their stakeholders. We work alongside accountants, major law practices, private equity houses, lenders and regulators.
Our 400-strong team operates from 28 offices across the UK, Cyprus, Mauritius, Dubai, the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Singapore, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.The RoleWorking within the Personal Insolvency a team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of technical Personal Insolvency services on individual portfolio and provide guidance to more junior members of the teamKey ResponsibilitiesPlan control and pro-actively maintain a portfolio of personal insolvency casesHave thorough knowledge of Bankruptcies and IVAs. Knowledge of corporate insolvency and their inter-action with individuals would be a benefitDraft necessary reports to unsecured creditors / secured creditors / creditors' committees and the CourtDeal with and adjudicate on retention of title, secured, preferential and unsecured claims with assistance if necessaryAttend at trading premises – when necessaryCarry out investigations to uncover claims for preferences / transactions at undervalue etcPrepare associated documentation for statutory meetingsOverseeing or preparing accurate books and records inventories, and taking responsibility for the safeguard, removal and storage of such from premisesMaximising asset realisations and ensuring recoveries are pursued in a pro-active and cost-effective wayAppropriate banking and cheque request forms in order to ensure that estate monies are handled and dealt with correctlyComplete VAT returns and reclaimsLiaise with professional agents and advisorsProduction of good quality reports and lettersDeal with various stakeholders by telephone and generate comprehensive and accurate file notesMonitoring, maintenance and up-dating of checklists, together with IPS diary linesMonitoring of costs to ensure that fees are drawn at appropriate stages, in accordance with resolutions passed by creditorsDeal with day to day correspondence, including non-standard itemsAdhere to statutory compliance and current legislation (Insolvency Act), best practice and Quantuma policies and proceduresParticipate in internal and external marketing events, building relationships with other firmsParticipate in internal and external marketing events as requiredGeneralCompleting assignments for Managers & MD's to level requiredBe able to manage work flow and delegate appropriate tasks;Be able to attend/chair meetings, prepare minutes and follow through on the action points arising;Mentor trainees (including manage delegation and on the job training) and review their work;Maintain referrer & client relationships and confidentialityReporting, Relationships & ManagementReport to Assistant Managers, Managers, Directors and PartnersDelegate work to Trainees and AdministratorsManage a case load of own cases in addition to assisting others in the teamQualifications / Experience / Technical Skills RequiredMinimum of 3 years insolvency experience requiredWorking towards or CPI qualifiedGood compliance skills with limited supervisionAbility to anticipate and communicate problems to others in the teamEffective use of IT including Excel, Word, Outlook, IPS and VCMaintain high professional standards of conduct and practiceApplies knowledge of Quantuma, industry, markets and core client base, highlighting potential business opportunities to line managerAble to organise and manage time efficiently and effectively whilst being flexibleBuilds rapport with peers internally and externallyAware of relevant financial targets and constraints and contributes to achieving these, keeping line manager informed of progressConverts options into recommendations and resolutionsUnderstands need for continuous learningQuantuma offers a competitive salary & benefits package and superb long-term opportunities for career progression.TPBN1_UKTJ
