Our client seeks a Client Accountant Manager to join their team.

Role Profile:
The Client Accounting Manager will be responsible for building, leading, and managing a team of Accountants and Bookkeepers at various levels, managing the workflow of the accounting function, and ensuring timely delivery of technically accurate financial statements at a profit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all client expectations and accounting deadlines are properly prepared for and managed.
2. Prioritise and manage the workflow of the accounting function.
3. Work proactively with the Trust Administration Teams to ensure queries are cleared and financial statements are finalised in a timely manner.
4. Take ownership, prioritise workload, and liaise with clients, auditors, and other third parties in a professional manner.
5. Improve profitability by reviewing charging structures and ensuring timely billing/invoicing of accounting fees.
6. Support the Head of Accounting and initiate change initiatives for improved operating efficiencies.
7. Achieve personal targets as set out for the role, including targets for time recording and utilisation.
8. Ensure agreed business risk targets are met and manage risk according to policies.
9. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality and technically accurate financial statements in line with statutory requirements and generally accepted accounting standards (UK GAAP).
10. Prepare and review complex financial statements and provide ongoing support to colleagues on technical and ad hoc financial queries.
11. Produce accurate and timely management information and ensure agreed targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
12. Build, lead, and manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers, providing guidance, development, coaching, mentoring, and ensuring CPD requirements are adhered to.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA or CA); fiduciary qualification (e.g., STEP) is beneficial.
2. Relevant accounting experience within a fiduciary services environment, with at least 5 years including people management.
3. Working knowledge and understanding of relevant statutory requirements.
4. Demonstrable technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/FRS102).
5. Ability to communicate and deliver presentations at Board level.
6. Ability to use judgement and initiative in applying standard work practices and solving day-to-day problems.
7. Flexibility and professionalism under time-driven pressures with good prioritisation and time management skills.
8. Deliver results without compromising on quality and accuracy.
9. Strong team player, self-motivated, and focused on exceeding targets and goals.
10. High level of personal and interpersonal skills, building relationships with clients and colleagues.
