About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play an integral part in the learning journey of pupils with varying needs, including Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will work alongside teachers and the SENCo to provide focused support in class and through targeted interventions. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or small group support tailored to the individual needs of pupils. Help deliver personalised learning plans and support pupils in understanding lesson content. Assist with classroom behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies. Promote inclusion and engagement in all school activities. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic support. Track progress and contribute to reviews of educational and behavioural plans. Job Requirements: A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field. Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, or a similar support role in a classroom or school setting, is preferred. Patience, adaptability and a genuine commitment to supporting students' growth. Understanding of various Special Educational Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD etc. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). Why Join GSL Education?
