The role is as a bank worker working at night with young people between the ages of 16 - 18 to develop their independent living skills.
The candidate must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or, if not, be willing to work towards getting this and be willing to work with challenging young people from varying backgrounds.
The Key Worker offers an array of support including practical skills training, assistance with education, emotional support, and community networking. By offering this support to the residents, it is possible to enhance the residents’ confidence and ability to handle a variety of situations that they may face when they move on to independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Individual one-to-one sessions with the young person.
* Arrange group and individual activities to assist with the young person's overall development.
* Provide the Social Worker with monthly/weekly updates on the young person.
* Work alongside the young person’s Social Worker / Personal Advisor to help the young person.
* Report any maintenance issues.
* Ensure all visitors to the property sign in/out.
* Ensure rooms are checked on a daily basis for health and safety issues and potential hazards.
* Regularly monitor the surveillance camera.
* Ensure all confidential information, including papers, files, electronic, etc., are locked away when not in use.
* Ensure all keys are kept in a lockable cupboard.
* Ensure Atlantic Lodge’s policies are adhered to at all times.

Pay: £10.90-£11.50 per hour
