Hybrid working - working from home as well as onsite at London based archives
£26,000 for the first 6 months, then increases to £28,000 plus benefits after probation
We are looking for curious, organised, and enthusiastic graduate calibre candidates to embark on a journey to start your career! This is a full-time permanent job opportunity with a 6-month training programme included.
You'll be working for an international firm specialising in tracing missing and unknown beneficiaries to unclaimed estates, property, and assets worldwide. The main aim of the position is to support the companies' researchers in the quest to find long lost heirs and beneficiaries through archive research. As well as supporting with other legal services, researching documents such as wills, birth certificates, estate documentation connected with probate.
As this is a trainee programme, we are not looking for particular previous experience, but the successful candidates will show the following attributes: excellent communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills, the ability to cope under pressure and work autonomously. Ideally candidates will be educated to a degree level, degrees including extensive research are a bonus! Degrees such as History, English Literature, Philosophy for example.
Working independently will be fundamental to the role as you will be working onsite at archives and museums as well as from home.
With a starting salary if £26K per annum for the duration of training, upon graduating to a Research Associate you will receive a salary increase to £28K per annum.
