We’re on the lookout for an experienced Payroll Specialist to step into a key role within our friendly and collaborative HR team, for 15-month maternity cover fixed term contract. Your key responsibilities will include: Coordinating payroll with UK & European payroll providers to ensure payroll data is accurate and processed within the required timeframes. Reconciling and validating payroll data to ensure accuracy and maintaining compliance with legislative and audit requirements. Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and external parties and delivering a high level of customer service. Pension administration including auto-enrol upload and contribution upload. Regular timesheet reporting for line managers/project managers. Inputting of starters, leavers, transfers, and salary updates into payroll. Dealing with all statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP, and SHPL). Dealing with HMRC PAYE & NI enquires and other ad-hoc third-party enquiries. Dealing with all payrolls enquires via email and in person. Producing of management information reports. P11D and P60 submission. Supporting the HR team with general ad-hoc admin duties. About you and your skillset: Experienced in Payroll Software and other systems (HR, Expenses, Timesheets etc.). Proficient in Microsoft Office programs is essential, specifically Excel skills. Have a high level of accuracy and numeracy, tech-savvy. Demonstrable experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment. Conscientious, positive and enthusiastic. Willingness to multitask and be flexible to suit business needs. Able to work on own initiative and contribute ideas to the department. Professional and highly confidential.
