Job Description
The Controlling Accountant will be responsible for:
* Manage the group consolidation process and prepare consolidated financial statements
* Lead the coordination of external audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
* Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes across the group
* Provide expert tax advice and oversee tax planning initiatives
* Produce insightful financial analysis and reports for senior management
* Collaborate with various departments to drive process improvements and efficiency's
* Support M&A activities with financial due diligence and integration planning
The Successful Applicant
The Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience
* Strong background in group accounting within a complex, multi-entity structure
* In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations
* Previous experience in external audit, preferably within the FMCG sector
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
* Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
* Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial reporting systems
* Able to commute to commute to Milton Keynes a couple days a week
