Our Pensions Administration business continues to grow and we are now looking for an experienced Project Team Manager to join our vibrant office with hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a similar role where they have gained knowledge and experience of GMPr.

The Role
As a Project Team Manager with XPS, you will provide full-time management of a dedicated project team. You will be involved in a wide range of pensions projects, management and consultancy tasks. As a manager, you will be responsible for managing the projects within the team end to end, in line with budgets, deadlines, and objectives as well as day-to-day line management of the team. The key responsibilities include:
1. Assuming full responsibility for project delivery within the designated team, including workload allocation, prioritisation and ensuring delivery in line with client expectations, budgets and timescales.
2. Overseeing day-to-day management of client relationships with trustees and corporate clients, and participation in trustee and client meetings where applicable.
3. Ensuring projects are fully scoped, costed, monitored and completed in line with customer and legislation requirements.
4. Taking responsibility for all aspects of project billing.
5. Active participation in XPS Administration's marketing initiatives, new business activities, attending new business pitches and company events.
6. Providing expert project solutions; keeping abreast of technical and legislative developments within the pensions industry.
7. Identifying team objectives or other necessary changes in line with business needs.
8. Support the delivery of a continuous improvement programme championing operational excellence.
9. Formal staff management responsibilities including conducting appraisals, setting individual and team objectives, and handling HR performance management issues.
10. Forging strong working relationships with other departments/teams both internal and external to the Company.
Your Profile
Essential Criteria
1. An experienced and successful pension professional with a strong track record in managing a pensions administration or project team.
2. Previous line management experience, including appraisal process, HR issue management, and performance management.
3. Commercial acumen to plan, manage, track and deliver project work within budget.
4. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage resources and operational delivery.
5. Technical pensions and data projects knowledge.
6. Proven experience in formulating and writing project scope proposals.
7. Ability to efficiently resolve issues by identifying solutions to enable effective project delivery.
8. Proven ability to lead a project providing strategic direction and guidance.
9. Concise and confident communicator of complex project issues.
10. Be proactive, having drive and commitment.
Desirable:
1. May have achieved some exam successes in professional qualifications.
2. Ability to foster an inclusive working environment.
3. Experience of operating within and contributing to a compliant framework.
4. IT proficient, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
