GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a dynamic school in Middlesbrough. If you are passionate about inspiring students to explore literature and improve their communication skills, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities of an English Teacher:
* Deliver Engaging Lessons: Teach language, literature, and communication across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Promote Proficiency: Help students master reading, writing, grammar, and speaking.
* Encourage Critical Thinking: Inspire students to analyse texts and express their ideas confidently.
* Assess Progress: Track student performance through assignments and feedback.
* Foster a Love for Reading: Introduce students to diverse literature and encourage a love for books.
* Adapt to Needs: Tailor lessons to support students with different abilities and learning styles.
* Manage the Classroom: Create a positive and respectful classroom environment.
* Collaborate: Work with colleagues to improve and develop the curriculum.
What We’re Looking for in an English Teacher candidate:
* Qualifications: QTS or PGCE, with a degree in English, Education, or a related field.
* Experience: Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Flexibility: Ability to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring young minds.
* Team Player: Willingness to work with others to enhance the school community.
* DBS: Updated CV and enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one).
