We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bid Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the bid process, ensuring that all proposals are completed accurately and submitted on time. This position requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a keen eye for detail. The Bid Manager will collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and create compelling bids that align with our strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end bid management process, from initial opportunity assessment to submission of proposals.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and ensure compliance with bid requirements.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive bid library, including templates, past proposals, and relevant documentation.
* Prepare and review bid submissions for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of all components of the bid.
* Monitor and analyse competitor bids to identify trends and improve our bidding strategy.
* Utilise software tools such as Salesforce to track bid progress and maintain accurate records.
* Provide training and support to team members on best practices for bid preparation.
Job Description: We seek an efficient and skilled Bid & Account Manager to join our team at Solace Global (Risk).
As the Bid & Account Manager, you will lead the bid process supporting the Chief Customer Officer (CCO) and Sales Team, from opportunity identification to proposal submission. This includes ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet client requirements, and establishing compliance with all Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements and guidelines.
In addition, you will be responsible for dedicated account management and platform support (Solace Secure) to customers, ensuring all technical aspects of platform onboarding and development are captured and communicated effectively. This aspect of the role requires close collaboration with the Solace Customer Success Manager and Platform Development team to ensure positive, two-way communication between ongoing clients and the internal Solace Global team.

Key Objectives:
There are two key aspects to the role: Bid Management (25%)
* Monitor the end-to-end bid stage process within HubSpot, ensuring timelines are met.
* Coordinate with various teams, including sales, technical, legal, and finance, to ensure all aspects of a bid are addressed.
* Maintain comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, including bid files, records of communication, and pricing information, in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
* Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
* Monitor and evaluate bid performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Account Management (including Platform Support) (75%)
* Act as the primary point of contact for customers' platform queries, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and ensuring timely resolution.
* Facilitate Solace Secure platform training, both internally and externally, to ensure all users are comfortable and proficient with the system.
* Help build and expand the Solace Secure knowledge base to support efficient platform delivery and rollout.
* Communicate customer changes or requests internally with the Operations team, ensuring seamless implementation.
* Support customer quarterly and annual reviews by producing and analysing report statistics on platform usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in business administration or a related field.
* Experience as a bid manager, proposal manager, or a similar role.
* Demonstrated success in winning bids through effective proposal management.
* Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle, proposal writing, and development.
* Proficiency in using bid management software (e.g., HubSpot) and MS Office.
* Attention to detail and high accuracy in bid preparation and review.
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
* Strong ability to work cross-functionally and maintain effective stakeholder communication.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess bid opportunities and develop winning strategies.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
* Familiarity with platform management tools or experience in supporting SaaS products is a plus.
