Psychology Teacher Sought for Esteemed Secondary School in Canterbury
We are delighted to partner with a well-regarded secondary school in Canterbury, recognized for its commitment to academic excellence and student well-being. They are seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychology Teacher to join their faculty in a full-time, permanent role commencing in September.
Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong passion for psychology to inspire and educate young minds. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing students' understanding of the human mind and behavior, fostering critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and deliver engaging and informative psychology lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy across Key Stages 4 and 5.
2. Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, exploration, and inquiry.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
4. Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences department and wider school community to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
5. Stay abreast of current developments in psychological research and teaching methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology or a closely related field.
2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
3. Proven experience teaching Psychology at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 4 and 5.
