Job summary Role Overview We're seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our forward-thinking team. In this role, you'll provide autonomous clinical care through both face-to-face and telephone consultations, leveraging your expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to deliver exceptional patient care. 37.5 hrs per week Benefits include: NHS Pensions scheme 25 days AL and additional bank holidays Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities, Clinical Practice Lead acute illness clinics and manage complex patient presentations Conduct comprehensive clinical examinations and develop treatment plans Independently prescribe and manage medications Deliver evidence-based care for both acute and chronic conditions Implement preventative care strategies and health promotion Provide specialised care in areas including:- Family planning and sexual health- Travel health and immunisations- Minor surgery and wound care- Mental health assessment and referral Professional Standards Practice within NMC guidelines and maintain professional registration Implement infection control and safeguarding measures Utilise clinical systems effectively for patient care and audit Promote equality, diversity, and patient rights Maintain patient confidentiality and information governance standards Quality & Leadership Drive quality improvement initiatives and participate in clinical audits Mentor and support the development of nursing team members Contribute to protocol development and service improvement Maintain high standards of clinical documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care Participate in clinical supervision and continuous professional development About us Maidenhead Primary Care Network is a dynamic collaboration of 9 GP Practices serving approximately 80,000 patients across Maidenhead, Berkshire.
