PepsiCo is looking for R&D Supervisor - Ingridient Spec Writer Lead to be based in one of our locations: Leicester, UK or Istanbul, Turkey.
Job Purpose
This role primary responsibility is to supervise a team of 6 specification writers to update/create Europe Foods specifications to ensure legal compliance both through deploying required regulatory updates & updating data at required cadence.
Responsibilities
1. The role involves contributing to a highly complex change programme whilst ensuring legal compliance across Europe Foods technical data & systems
2. Scope, align & deliver portfolio of assigned specification through individual contribution & delivery through others
3. Ensure specification activities are progressing in line with business priorities and facilitate removal of road blocks as required
4. Apply & ensure the team comply with regulatory & legal requirements through collaboration with regulatory teams
5. Enable safe and compliant development through ensuring ingredient standard requirements are effectively deployed across Europe
6. Ensure resourcing needs specific to ingredient activities are captured for all projects across Sector
7. Work effectively within regional and global cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong functional expertise to overcome barriers and deliver initiatives with excellence
8. Contribute to workstreams to improve ways of working across the team improvement of business processes to drive greater efficiencies, sharing of knowledge to create better team cohesion & developing others through coaching & embedding best practise
Qualifications
9. Graduate in Food, Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent (engineering for process roles) or equivalent in experience
10. Solid FMCG background to support understanding of system requirements & change implications
11. Ability to define and execute a programme of projects consistent with key business drivers
12. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence with integrity through persuasive communication to win support at senior levels within the organisation
13. Proven programme management skills to effectively drive multiple projects
14. Excellent people management skills to continue team members further upscaling and development
15. Cross departmental & functional leadership (technical & commercial) providing clarity on workstream objectives & deliverable co-ordination
16. Management of full project life cycle from concept to industrial production, delivering through others to deliver technical components of cross-functional projects
17. Experience of working across multiple markets & on global brands
