Essential
1. Recognised SLT Degree/diploma
2. RCSLT and HCPC Registered or pending registration for final year SLT students.
Desirable
1. NQP competencies completed
Experience

1. Experience of working as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team
2. Experience of adults with special needs i.e. Learning Disabilities or Deaf patients
Desirable
1. Experience in delivery of structured groups
2. Experience of working with patients with mental health problems
Further Training

1. Portfolio of relevant post qualification CPD
2. Post basic dysphagia training or completed competencies
Knowledge
Essential
1. Theoretical knowledge of SLT delivery including the use of different approaches and multi-disciplinary working, across different contexts and environments.
2. Knowledge of national policies and procedures (relevant to the client group)
3. Undergraduate Knowledge of different approaches to working with adults with speech, language, communication needs and eating, drinking, and swallowing needs.
