Pertemps are thrilled to be working with a leading provider of broadcasting equipment in Watford who are looking for a Driver / Warehouse Technician to join their team.
The Driver/Warehouse Technician will perform a variety of responsibilities, including processing equipment both inbound and outbound, providing support to all departments ensuring accurate and consistent information is provided. The Driver/Warehouse Technician will also ensure housekeeping is maintained, and all health and safety policies are adhered to. The role will be split between warehouse responsibilities and delivering/collecting equipment for their transport department.
A UK DRIVING LICENCE IS REQUIRED
Monday to Friday 8:30 - 6pm with an early finish on Fridays.
Competitive Salary dependent on experience
DUTIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Continually monitoring of new orders and reacting accordingly
- Collating orders including scanning all equipment required.
- Processing all returning orders including basic quality checking of equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading of the fleet of vans.
- Ensuring all equipment and flight cases are presented to the high standards required.
- Maintain housekeeping of the warehouse whilst identifying possible improvements.
- Maintaining all warehouse filing including but not limited to signed delivery notes, returns notes and purchase order receipts.
- Ensuring all company Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to, identifying possible improvements, whilst escalating any concerns or
observations as necessary.
- When required, driving one of our delivery vans for both deliveries and collections. This is likely to include some driving in Europe on occasion.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be computer literate and well versed in Microsoft products.
- Effective time management and prioritising skills.
- Demonstratable problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Must be self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude enabling you to work unsupervised for periods of time.
- Ability to work well with others and build rapport with colleagues.
- Reliable, a good timekeeper with high integrity and strong work ethic.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Must have a current driving licence.
