The role will be critical to this goal: Driving Competitive Advantage: Supporting effective commercial and Operations transformation, to provide a pathway and then delivery of edyn’s ambitious targets (RGI better than market, increased direct Brand.com share and improvement in efficiencies). Enhancing Agility: Facilitating a more agile and responsive organizational structure and culture, clear focus on the key strategic objectives and priorities and the critical and salient decision points and scenarios. This will improve the speed of execution for organisational objectives. Improving Efficiency: Streamlining operations and processes in commercial and operation teams to reduce costs and efficiency enabled by structural, process, system and strategic improvements. Fostering Innovation: Creating an environment where innovation is encouraged and supported, leading to new products, services, and business models that is nested in deep client and guest insight. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Analytics & Reporting: Oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial plans with the company’s strategic objectives. Align the plans with our investors. Lead the development and execution of advanced financial models tailored to the hotel industry to support business planning and decision-making. Oversee variance analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Explore market trends and performance to ensure edyn is market leading. Oversee the preparation of detailed financial reports. Present information and insights to senior management and key stakeholders including debt holders and shareholders. Develop and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance. Ensure complete alignment of reporting with functional leads. Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on thorough financial analysis. Performance Management: Develop a clear suite of KPIs and reporting insight to provide pathways to reaching business forecasts. Collaborate with People & Culture and Business teams to develop a clear and competitive incentive scheme across the different functions Delivery of business plan and KPIs. Align commercial and operation wide KPIs and key result execution, with clear performance management and accountability to partnered teams. Strategic Business Partnering: Lead or participate or oversee special projects aimed at enhancing financial performance or operational efficiency. Facilitate budget planning and resource allocation aligned with business goals and objectives. Contribute to the development and execution of long-term financial strategies, including expansion and capital investment decisions. Finance Operations Management: Ensure collaboration and integration of transactional finance teams with other finance and wider business teams to ensure the meeting there needs and enable focus on company strategy Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls. Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of engagement through continuous improvement and professional growth to our 75 target o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. Technology & Process Optimization: Leverage technology and data analytics tools to streamline finance operations and enhance decision-making capabilities. Co-ordinate and align the analytics centre of excellence, providing a forum to share best practice and to deliver a consistent set of standards. A role less ordinary. Who you are. Chartered Accountant or Management Accountant (or equivalent), with first time passes. 10 years of post-qualified experience in finance, including significant experience in financial analytics, business partnering, and finance operations. Proficiency in financial modelling, ERP systems, and advanced Excel; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and Analytic modelling (e.g. Cognos Planning, TM1) is a plus. Based at Bristol or London offices, with travel to clients, our sister offices and edyn properties. We manage our people to outcomes but expect you to be at your place of work (home office, property or another edyn location) 3 days a week or more (per our agile work policy).
