About the Role
Their Family Safeguarding Team is an innovative partnership model between Somerset County Council and a network of voluntary sector organisations. The wider Family Safeguarding Team is comprised of substance misuse, domestic abuse, adult mental health workers, and children's social workers. Workers from specialist organisations join together to form one team working with families.
Second Step is looking for an Adult Mental Health Recovery and Wellbeing Specialist Worker to join this team to develop and run personalised programmes of support for parents coming into contact with the Family Safeguarding project, safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience supporting people with complex needs, including mental health, within a community setting. They will be great at building trust with those they work with and keen to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
Due to the geography of the Mendip area, having a driving license and access to a vehicle would be essential.

Salary: £27,198 (pro rata)
Weekly hours: 11
