Job summary East Sussex CAMHS Duty and Liaison Service Mental Health Practitioner - Band 6 Based across East Sussex The role is days of 7.5 hour shifts, 8am - 4pm, 9.00am -5.00pm or 12pm-8.00pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am to 6.00pm weekends and public holidays. The CAMHS East Sussex Duty and Liaison Team is developing their Urgent Health Care service and as a result an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Urgent Care Practitioner, band 6. Main duties of the job Primarily you will be supporting young people and their carers who are presenting with a mental health crisis via telephone, Attend Anywhere or offering face to face assessments. There will be an opportunity in this role to deliver therapeutic interventions alongside crisis care planning and management. You will be supporting young people who are waiting for interventions from tier 3 CAMHS as part of the duty role. You will also be assessing young people who present to A&E in mental health crisis. You will assess and plan for discharge with the family or carer of the young person. You will be involved in MDT meetings around the young people who are unsafe for discharge, you will engage with other services within the trust to ensure the correct support is being provided upon discharge.
