The role: As one of our Teaching Assistants, your role will be to support a student on a 2:1 basis to enable the student to access learning both at Wilden View and also off site - willingness or ability to be involved practical activities would be an advantage You will be expected to establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with the student in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the School, and to promote and encourage independence and personal development. Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required. Please see the link below for our full job description: Job Description: Teaching Assistant Experience & Qualifications: Working towards Level 2 award in Support work in schools or an equivalent is desirable GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above qualification is essential. Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures. Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD, ideally in an education setting Commitment to the role, the desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual Be positive and creative in meeting pupils’ needs Full clean driving licence What’s on offer?
