We are looking for experienced support workers to support our client, a delightful 10-year-old boy with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He enjoys playing games, listening to music, and spending time with his siblings. Our client lives at home with his mum, dad, and siblings. This is a flexible role, in a rural family home to fit the right candidate. Your role will be to: To work with our client in a supportive role, enabling him to lead as fulfilling life as possible. Be involved in personal care. Work collaboratively with the team in managing the daily care, development, and wellbeing of our client. To be mindful of his physical, social, and psychological wellbeing and safety at all times. Giving assistance where needed with all activities of daily living. Taking him to activities, trips out, and school transport. Supporting our client with therapy sessions and ensuring consistency with these. Full training and support will be provided. Provide advice and knowledge to the family and respite where required and appropriate. Support with health-related tasks such as PEG feeding, medication administration, monitoring blood saturation and managing his stoma. Help to keep our client's bedroom and therapy areas clean and tidy. Access and complete online incident log and document in care documentation. Report any hazards or health and safety concerns immediately to parents and Case Manager. Check al equipment is in safe working order as per risk assessment requirements. Take our client on outings as per his weekly routine/ planner (please note this may alter as schooling, social and leisure needs change). Working hours: Monday: 19.30 – 7.45 Thursday: 19.30 – 7.45 Friday: 14.00 – 19.30 Saturday: 19.30 – 7.45 Saturday: 7.45 – 13.00 Sunday:19.30 – 7.45 School holidays 3x day shifts 7.45 – 19.30 The above shifts can be flexible and can be divided amongst applicants Three positions are available. Rates of Pay: Weekday:£18.00 per hour Weekend:£20.00 per hour Essential Requirements: Experience working with children with additional needs Full clean driving licence English as a first language An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
