Location: This full-time role will be based in Capability Green - Luton and will involve an average of fourteen shifts per 28 days, with 12-hour dayshifts and night shifts onsite.
As a key member of the Network Control team within the Integrated Control Centre, the Operations Officer plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service on a 24/7 basis, reporting directly to the Senior Operations Officer on duty. This dynamic position involves close collaboration with maintenance, ground handling, flight crews, and various ICC teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication, while proactively managing a fleet of aircraft to minimise delays and disruptions. The Operations Team, comprising a dedicated team of 48 Operations Officers across five teams, is committed to ensuring safety, compliance, and the highest quality of service for our customers. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team of Operations Officers, where you'll manage our aircraft fleet across all AOCs, focusing on safety, cost efficiency, and on-time performance. What you’ll need to do the role:
To thrive in the role of an Operations Officer, you should have at least two years of experience within an airline operations department, with an FAA Dispatch Licence or equivalent being desirable. A strong understanding of TOPS and AIMS systems, as well as a working knowledge of EASA FTL regulations, will further enhance your effectiveness. You must be able to work to strict deadlines and deliver results in a high-pressure environment, demonstrating high competency in Airline Meteorology and geographical awareness. Additionally, a sound working knowledge of the EZY OM/A is key, complemented by excellent planning and organisation skills. Being customer-focused is crucial, along with being a team player who demonstrates an adaptable and flexible attitude to respond to changing demands and timescales. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary, along with a high degree of flexibility to accommodate a 12-hour shift pattern. Proficiency in the use of PCs and the Microsoft Office suite is essential to excel in this fast-paced environment. If you have experience in these areas, we’d love to hear from you!
