Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Respiratory Department to be part of a new team of nurses and advisors treating patients with tobacco addiction. We are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and pro active individual to work within our team of Tobacco Dependency Advisors. Main duties of the job In line with the ambitions of the NHS Long term plan, we have launched a new Quit for Life team at RCHT. This role will support patients to be smoke free during an admission by assessing and treating nicotine dependence. For those patients who want to stop smoking, you will work with them to plan their quit attempt and arrange ongoing support on discharge. This is an important and impactful part of care for our patients who smoke realising both short and long term health benefits.
