Bridgeman Recruitment Services Ltd (Agency) are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join an established client of ours within the plumbing, heating, renewable energy and M&E industry on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be responsible for managing a team, overseeing the successful delivery of projects, from estimating/tendering and negotiation to execution and completion.
Job Summary:
1. Prepare and submit competitive tenders and proposals for residential homeowners, new build, design & build and development contracts in the plumbing and heating sector.
2. Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that all terms and conditions are clear and favourable.
3. Manage the contract schedule, budget and scope, ensuring that any changes or variations are properly documented and approved.
4. Project Management, oversee plumbing, heating and renewable energy projects such as Heat Pumps, Solar, etc.
5. Manage and oversee a team of engineers.
6. Liaise with and manage client relationships, attend client meetings, etc.
Key Skills Required:
1. Essential you have proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Operations Manager or within a similar role.
2. Experience in the plumbing, heating or air source heat pump sector is essential.
3. Preferably with experience dealing with new build, homeowners/domestic housing or house builders.
4. Excellent knowledge of contract law, procurement processes and industry best practices.
5. Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
7. Full UK driving licence.
