The role
As our People Business Partner, you’ll work closely with the People Director and a small, dedicated team, including a People Advisor, People & Payroll Assistant and a People & Data Assistant, Talent Manager and Internal Comms Officer.
The role spans both strategic and operational responsibilities. One moment you might be driving forward a change initiative, the next coaching managers or supporting on a people related query. You’ll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, a champion for our values, and a driving force behind our engagement, learning and development, and inclusion work.

As part of the role you’ll be involved in a wide range of activity, including:
* Partnering with senior leaders to align people initiatives with our growth focused business strategy
* Coaching managers to build capability and create high performing, thriving teams
* Leading a variety of projects across employee engagement, learning and career development
* Using survey and data insight to improve employee experience
* Ensuring our values are embedded in everything we do, championing our inclusive culture
* Supporting on operational areas such as employee relations and governance
* Managing three members of the people team to ensure excellence across the full employee lifecycle - inspiring and challenging them to fulfil their potential
* Playing a key role in our ESG strategy, particularly around social impact
* Delivering agile project work - from benefit reviews to new systems and cultural transformation
* Driving continuous improvement, using data and external insights to make smart, creative changes
What we are looking for
We’re looking for someone who brings a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on experience. A true generalist with energy, ideas, and a strong sense of purpose. You’ll need to be:
* CIPD qualified or equivalent through experience
* A confident communicator and trusted advisor at all levels
* Skilled in coaching and building leadership capability
* Knowledgeable in employment law and best practice HR
* Passionate about employee wellbeing, inclusion and experience
* Comfortable with data - analysing it, spotting trends and using it to drive decisions
* Experienced in managing and developing a small team
* Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement
* Comfortable working in a professional environment

The role is based in Leeds with the ability to work from home 2-3 days per week.
