Now part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, ADEY has ambitious growth plans. The Role Reporting to the Operations Director, the Production Manager will lead all aspects of product assembly and chemical production to ensure customer satisfaction and productivity targets are met, by developing an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team by building collaborative working relationships and ensuring Environment, Health, Safety, wellbeing, and quality requirements are maintained. Integral to the role is working as a key member of the Operations Management team to share ideas and improve operational performance: recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvements to processes, procedures and working practices. Working hours: Full Time: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm Working style: On-site Responsibilities Ensure production teams understand and comply with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures, follow safe working practices, standard operating procedures and product quality standards. Consistently execute the production schedule; ensure daily and weekly production targets are achieved, taking appropriate action to lessen or remove any negative impact on delivery and productivity objectives. Collaborate with other departmental managers regarding product development, customer requirements, stock availability and throughput to ensure production targets are achieved. Identify, propose and implement solutions to increase capacity, efficiency and sustainability performance. Manage and lead the Production team; ensuring optimum staffing levels, managing holiday allowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary/grievance issues, and daily supervision to ensure operational objectives are achieved. Set Production objectives/KPIs (Environment, Health and Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery) and review and assess the ongoing performance of direct reports. The Person Demonstrates a full understanding of customer expectations with an awareness of the impact that poor quality has on customer satisfaction. Experienced manufacturing or production manager Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional teams and proactively contribute to creating highly effective teams. Manufacturing/Engineering Degree or HNC Practical knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety legislation. IOSH/NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous Computer literacy: proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
