JOB SUMMARY You will manage and drive a product line to full customer satisfaction and success and develop and implement a tactical plan for it across all relevant markets, worldwide. Working together with other business teams you will develop its long-term strategic directions and will have an overall ownership of product line integrity. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES. Product definition, specification, and validation of existing and new products Proposing, developing, and implementing a product line plan across all relevant market segments worldwide Full ownership of product line integrity, including revenue growth, profitability, manufacturability, customer satisfaction, market positioning, product quality, performance, and product life cycle Collaboration with worldwide sales, service, strategic marketing teams in order to implement and drive strategic product plan in the market. Proposing and supporting marketing communication team with relevant content for product promotion and positioning campaigns Supporting worldwide sales and service teams with various sales and marketing tools Facilitating effective communication between field operations (sales and service) and the business unit Ownership of product line revenue forecast Market data analysis and reporting EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Ideally you will have worked in a technical field for at least five years with exposure to management of profit and loss, producing revenue forecasts and management of the product life cycle. BSc degree in a technical discipline is required along with a sound technical knowledge with one or more of the following markets/applications: Microscopy based imaging techniques in biology or similar fields. Scientific analytical instrumentation Ultrafast laser spectroscopy OR other end-use applications of scientific or industrial laser systems. Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage priorities. Previously experience in product management, field sales or marketing will be favourably regarded along with detailed knowledge of optics and laser technology. Excellent verbal, presentation and written skills are essential. Willingness to travel internationally is required.
