An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our clients senior leadership team as the Head of Estates within the Operations Directorate.

As the Head of Estates, you will have responsibility for managing the Blackpool Teaching Hospital estate and healthcare engineering infrastructure and community client locations, in a safe, compliant and comprehensive way.
You will possess strong leadership skills that positively contribute and influence the day-to-day operating of core services and actively explore opportunities to sustainably improve performance and effectiveness.
As a technical and designated senior operational manager, you will work with and manage multi-disciplinary teams to ensure service users and visitors are treated in safe and sustainable environments.
As a senior leader, you will actively contribute and influence the day-to-day operations and decision making with Atlas, providing well considered solutions that support the cost-effective delivery of services.
You will be a vision-led individual with ambition and a strong desire to make a difference and support the growth of the organisation as experts in healthcare facilities and property management in the North West.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Take the lead on shaping the future provision of estates services, including the strategic development of services to ensure they are high quality, progressive, responsive to internal and external demand, and fully support the strategic direction of the company.
2. Be responsible for the development and implementation of the ongoing long-term Estates Strategy and the associated delivery plan, ensuring that any related financial and estates management resources are correctly planned and prioritised.
3. Use technical and professional building and engineering expertise to support the reconfiguration and integration of various services associated with the overall Estates Strategy.
4. Support the company's annual business planning process, including the production of appropriate estate plans that are flexible to allow for potential adjustments to meet the changing needs of the service.
5. Liaise with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) colleagues to ensure that any estates management implications arising from business plans developed within other services are identified and appropriately resourced.
6. Research and develop the latest estate management strategies and practices, implementing new methods of working throughout the Company to obtain the optimum return on resources.
7. Ensure full liaison with colleagues from the capital and property teams to effectively manage the interface between operational, building, and engineering matters and all developments regarding capital investment projects.
8. Ensure that all minor building and engineering projects are procured, designed, and managed to comply with all Atlas Standing Orders, relevant Health and Safety Guidelines, other statutes, acts, Institute guidelines, industry legislation, and any related guidance information.
9. Take responsibility to ensure that pre and post tender documentation is evaluated using analytical specialist knowledge to interpret project submissions in accordance with procedures.
10. Maintain a historic information database to evaluate and maintain an appropriate approved list of specialist and non-specialist contractors.
